How Did Radio Change American Mass Media

   The invention of radio brought a new era for the history of mass communication in America.  As voice travels faster than paper and book, radio made it possible for information to be delivered and received faster than ever before. Radio is a very important role of technology in the evolution of the information age.

   The invention of electromagnetic induction and telegraphy has intimate connection with the invention of radio. Comparing the way we listen to radio nowadays, the early radio was way too big, even bigger than a television. A brief history of the invention of radio.....




    Radio was brought as a new entertainment for people as well. In the early ages, information were only able to be delivered as words and pictures, but radio brought music in people's daily life. It has a very important role in the development of the music industry.  And in the early 1920s, as the popularity of radio grows, radio became a very important part in every family. People used them for every information;political issues, local news, radio station program, music, advertisement, etc.

    We are now living in a age with multimedia, people get information through multiple different devices such as television, computer, smartphones,etc. Although radio is no longer as important and popular as forty years ago, but it's never out of the fashion. As the technology is well-developed, we no longer need to carry a giant box to listen to radio, we started to have radios in the car, on our cellphones, or even online radio. And research has prove that internet has became a important tool for must radio listeners.
